Most business owners don’t think about hosting until something goes wrong. By then, it’s already cost them customers.
Choosing the right hosting isn’t complicated. Here’s what matters:
Speed Matters
A slow website loses customers. Your hosting provider determines how fast your site loads. Shared hosting (the cheapest option) usually means slow speeds because you’re sharing resources with hundreds of other sites.
Uptime Matters
If your site is down, you’re losing money. Look for a provider that guarantees 99.9% uptime. But even more importantly, find one that actually responds when things go wrong.
Support Matters
When your site goes down at 10pm on a Saturday, can you get help? Most budget hosts have chat bots and ticket systems that take hours. This is why I include support with every hosting package I provide.
Security Matters
SSL certificates, daily backups, malware scanning — these aren’t optional. If your host doesn’t include them, you’re vulnerable.
What I Recommend
I host all my clients on a managed Plesk server with daily backups, SSL, and 24/7 monitoring. You don’t need to think about hosting at all — I handle it.
